  • European Unemployment: How Can This Continue? [View article]
Europe can't compete with third world countries with its high wages, low work hours and unambitious youth. In Europe it is not uncommon for someone to live with his or her parents until they are 30 years old.

  • Is Chipotle Overvalued? Let's Compare It With Peers [View article]
Yes but MCD and YUM are growth stocks too. MCD showed great growth in South America, Russia and Asia in the last year. YUM also showed some great growth overseas. While CMG has a lot of growth potential, most of the growth is already expected. If CMG grows by 25% for the next 5 years, it will not surprise anyone as this is mostly baked in the price anyways, but what if something goes wrong? Many companies continue to post strong growth (such as Google) but still see their price plunge because people have too high expectations sometimes.

  • BBC Says Merkel Says Greece Will Default [View article]
If the "mighty old Eurozone" can't even save one of its tiniest members from a default, then it is not really helpful. How will it help bigger nations like Italy, Spain and France if it doesn't even have the resources to help Greece? If I was a bond investor, I'd dump all European bonds (except for maybe German) right now.

  • Facebook Filing For IPO As Early As Wednesday? [View article]
Facebook should have had its IPO 5 years ago when it had growth potential. Now the company has matured and it reached the maximum number of members it possibly could get. And now there will be other competition such as Google+. Anyone that competes with Google will burn in the long run (maybe the only exception is AAPL for now).

  • Facebook Filing For IPO As Early As Wednesday? [View article]
Did the company ever announce its earnings? I wouldn't buy a company whose fundamentals I don't know.

  • Why Amazon's High P/E Ratio Is Misleading [View article]
I don't understand the whole Amazon bashing. If the company doesn't make any profit, does that mean it uses monopoly money for all the R&D projects and acquisitions? The article says that "in the last 6 years, the company spent a total of $19.2 billion on investments." I am sure Amazon doesn't print out money, they gotta get this money somewhere.

  • Is Chipotle Overvalued? Let's Compare It With Peers [View article]
MCD has a market cap of $101 billion and 33,000 restaurants worldwide which comes down to $3 million per restaurant, however this number also includes the franchises. Yum's average store price is $750,000 and JACK's store price is $430,000. Again these numbers include franchises.

  • Netflix confirms during its earnings call it won't enter the video game rental market, as it claimed it would during the short-lived Qwikster era. Meanwhile, Erick Schonfeld notes Netflix's 10.9% domestic streaming margin, while beating guidance, is a fraction of its 52.4% DVD rental margin. With the former business growing and the latter one declining, margin pressure is likely to continue. NFLX +13.6% AH. (more)  [View news story]
If the DVD rental's margin is really 52.4%, it sounds amazing. I thought postage costs were eating up the company's margin big time.

  • Google In The Penalty Box... For Now [View article]
Google's fall is slowing down as we speak. The stock did not have a hard landing because there wasn't much momentum build up prior to earnings announcement.

  • U.S. Economy Facing Japan-Like Deflation: What Investors Need To Know [View article]
How can people say we are facing deflation when healthcare, gas, electric, food, school costs are going up like crazy? Compared to last year my health insurance premium went up by 15%, gas is about 10% more expensive, my electric bill is about 12% higher, I pay about 15% more for grocery shopping even though i buy exact same things as I did last year. Everything keeps getting more expensive and people still talk about deflation. I don't get it.

  • Chipotle Mexican Grill: Why I'm Skeptical, And Short [View article]
I have seen it happen multiple times. A stock plunges by 20% overnight, and then downgrades follow, then you see a bounce back up, followed by upgrades.

  • Google's Miss May Present An Opportunity For Investors [View article]
GOOG's price was already falling prior to earnings. In the last 2 weeks the price was down from $670 to $625 and the earnings report pushed it further to $585. Coming into the earnings, the investors were already bearish and I don't think GOOG will fall much further this time. Yeah, it didn't beat some arbitrary overblown estimates, but the company is still growing and making loads of money. Most analysts still rate it as "Buy" with price targets around $700.

Besides, GOOG has 323 million outstanding shares and on Friday, only 10 million shares changed hands. That means most investors of GOOG are still bullish on the company.
