Your comments make total sense if you think that the current crisis is economic in nature, but it isn't -- it is cultural and it will have cultural, social and political consequences. If you look around the world -- every section of the world -- you will see the emergence of a political phenomenon that is very scary: middle/working class protests aginst ruling governments and the upper class that the protestors hold responsible for their predicaments -- these protests are growing in frequency, number and intensity, often morphing into riots.
