Megan, thanks for the comment. That is a very good question. The allocation question depends on many factors, such as age, risk tolerance, time horizon, and individual financial circumstance. I don't think there is just one portfolio allocation that is right for everyone. Postion sizing is one key determinant in portfolio returns. I would describe my approach as tactical, and looking specifically at the US equity portion of my most aggressive portfolio, overweight in midcaps, with the rest split between small and large cap.
