    All good points but I think it gets to be a little different when one is at premium and the other a discount. As I put in my article, any kind of reorg is going to favor the fund at a discount and could penalize the one at a premium.

    This is also not a strategy I would recommend for most investors and not one you can hold onto. You would have to be nimble and take profits when the market gives them to you.

    You're missing the point of the article. I don't like either one of these funds and I've written as much in articles over the past year. However, if there is a reorg of the funds...a liquidation, merger or strategy change...then AOD shareholders could get a windfall bump up whereas AGD shareholders will be left holding the bag. Even if that doesn't happen, AGD should at least be at a discount similar to AOD, if not more. AOD's NAV has actually 'outperformed' AGD's NAV since AOD went public in Jan. '07, even though both are horrible.
