  • Update: Retractable Technologies Wins In Syringe Antitrust Suit [View article]
I searched Law360 and the company's filings for answers. Personally I don't think they are going to appeal, they will have a successful remediation. In the end RVP will be taken over by the Chinese, a patent troll or a direct competitor.

The only risk I see is the fact that Mr. Shaw is a strange bird. Even if BDX would make an offer for RVP, I think he would refuse it. So shareholder's interest could be at jeopardy. Also the fact that he has not been able to make it a profitable business venture is a red flag. Of course BDX has a monopoly position and made abuse of it, but their are also other markets outside the U.S. which are largely untapped.

If you read the article below, it seems that RVP has a contingency agreement.

"Retractable also said it had reached an arrangement with Locke Lord that would cap its expenses for attorneys' fees and give the law firm a contingency interest in future litigation wins."

The advantage of MVC is the valuation gap between NAV and their current stock price. http://seekingalpha.co...

btw I am talking for my own book now, but I really think MVC will look for high yielding investments rather than equity interests.

I know you don't follow MVC Capital (MVC), but that BDC has the advantage that it doesn't have the yield compression in comparison with many others.

I agree with you that the damage is already done. From lower sales due to the shorts questioning the company and its products to higher legal and professional fees.

Don't forget the companies that went dark, leaving investors with empty hands. Most of the companies went for the easy money to the American capital markets, but forgot the playbook rules (corporate governance, IR, etc.).

Criminal stock promoters could bring glory and fame to these Chinese companies, we know what happened years afterwards.

I have been investing and trading Chinese stocks for more than 4 years and have experienced heavy losses during my endeavors. From Lotus Pharmaceuticals (LTUS) to China Organic Agricultural (CNOA). It is just unbelievable what happened in the China space. Scam artists, promoters, auditors, government institutions ........all are to blame for this mess. Geo investing, Jon Carnes and many others have done a great job of confronting the companies with evidence and advise.

Some companies improved their business practices, such as Sino Agro Food (SIAF), but the majority of US Chinese small caps are still far away of being transparent and open to their shareholders.

The only US small caps in my portfolio are Orient Paper (ONP) and Sino Agro Food (SIAF). For the rest I stay at the sidelines.

What I am trying to say is that management of CAGC will do everything what is in their power to convince investors that it is doing the right job and trying to show investors that it is legitimate. That's why they initiated a dividend. Possibly a little too late, in a show of desperation.

Geo did an outstanding job! So if management of CAGC thinks there company is legitimate and they are honest business people, just let them explain everything.

If they can't, they are dead meat.

Shorts also speculated that Kingold Jewelry would never pay a dividend but they did, despite the red flags. If CAGC can refute the claims made in this article, they will pay a dividend.

The only thing we need is sales and a lot of them. No excuses from management but concrete actions how to drive sales.

Do you mean this presentation http://bit.ly/1voa18m ?

Despite the coming dilution, because of their cash burn, I still think the company holds a lot of promise.

The article you refer to talks about the reverse merger performance of Arch. The author makes assumptions without thinking or researching first. Arch is a real company, with a real management team and a real product. The only thing that is lacking is profit.

Profit you can't expect from an emerging biotech stock.

The only positive I see is the reduction in workforce, see their latest 8-K.
http://1.usa.gov/1rrClGc So cash burn will go down going forward.
