Edgar is the son of a European real estate owner and industrialist who traded and transported thousands of metric tons of minerals a day. He has a degree in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, as well as three languages from Ashram College in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He studied Aeronautics in Michigan and briefly served as a flight instructor and as an operating officer on a feed-in carrier to UPS and DHL, giving him a nice bird's eye view of the U.S.

After his father passed away at a young age, he returned to Europe to take the helm of his father's company as planning manager, COO and head of R&D. His company was ultimately purchased by a maritime shipping carrier in Rotterdam.

Edgar has since studied Probability Theory, Mineralogy and Crystallography. Fluent in Mathematica from Wolfram Research, he is now manager of the family hedge fund. He finds himself an information hunter and processor, a transhumanist in correspondence with Ray Kurzweil (author of "The Singularity is near") and a devotee of Keynesian theory. Hobbies include aviation and a mineral collection. Weaknesses: too many to mention here.
