Well. Finviz suggests Beta of 0.51, which shows a relatively low correlation with S&P.

    Charlie,

Is not it amazing? My FED+ model comes with a range about $85 to $125, which is very similar to the range that Citigroup offers. And you do not know what is in their model.

You can also easily challenge their models. Consider the DCF model. They use a Beta of 1.04. Whereas Exxon is less volatile than market, so it should obviously have a lower Beta.

    Charlie,

I would have appreciated if you read the article with less bias. The model suggests that a range about $85 to $125. And the stock is currently at the lower end of this range. The upper boundary is the maximum. This is a moving long-term target. And the model above works well with companies that has stable earnings which is the case for Exxon Mobile.

Thank you all for the comments. We decided to write a follow-up where we analyzed the trend in cash flows. Unfortunately, our cash flow analysis also suggests a negative trend in dividend sustainability ratios even after the dividend cut.

    Hello IgnisFatuus,

Thanks for the comments. There is no actual dividend cut, but there has been some volatility due to US/Euro exchange. The typo you suggested is corrected.

Sorry, you are right Sondermark and Viperman. Unfortunately it looks like a cut based on US/Euro exchange rate, but it actually stayed same in those years.

    Viperman

You are right; it had huge dividend cuts in the recent times which author mention in the article. TOT was still able to present trailing payout of 49.37%. Its current dividends are still better than the industry average. At present, TOT can be a safe pick for new investors with reasonable valuations. Also, Ychart offer figures in Euro while I also mention the amount in $, thus no corrections are required.

    Jabarni.

I do not know your cost basis, but I heard from many people that Intel is a good buy under 20 and a good sell over 25. Dividends are bonus payments to this strategy.

I think Qualcomm produced some semiconductors used in specialty products, but it is known primarily as a telecommunication equipment provider.

Thanks ephud for the comments. It could have been mentioned, but there are many things to mention about Intel. At one point I decided to get into Intel-Nokia phones, but that is also another story. I will keep this for the next article. Again, thanks for the comments.
