Not sure on the price call, but I certainly concur with the forecast. I am tentatively bullish on YHOO for end of year growth

My article, it seems, is based on a misrepresentation of the facts via the mainstream media. Above you will find a link to the BBC Technology correspondent's take on Miller's research and a blog posted by Miller which suggests a misrepresentation in the mainstream media

  • Is This The Beginning Of The End For Facebook? Reasons For Concern For Investors [View article]
Totally true Ajost14 but as FB is seen as the main social media platform by some distance, my argument is that they might bear the brunt of it.

I want to reiterate, the article points more to the potential and likely dangers for FB. It is not a FB-bashing piece at all. Thanks

Combatcorpsman, you own FB and you're biased. Every recent article you've commented on that was not saying "buy FB", you troll.

What's more, based on your comment above and this one on a previous article written by another contributor - "I have to laugh when a young day trader adopts the mantle of an expert on any stock" - shows your clear penchant for ageism, namely the young. Next time you comment, you may want to do it from an impartial perspective, or nobody will believe you have credibility

Of course it's healthy now, as was Apple last year and now the common consensus is that they're past their best and on the way down. There are "what ifs", as you say. That's exactly what I'm saying. FB is healthy now, but it's not in an environment with more threatening competition than ever before and that could be a cause for concern for investors considering FB long. Can you honestly say FB three or five years from now is a sound investment? To me there are too many risks

  • 3 Stocks To Consider Investing In; 1 To Avoid [View article]
    Hello Hockey Dad,

Maybe you are right. Let´s see. If so, I shall eat my humble pie.

Just one question, do you own RIMM?! A "massive" drop. That´s quite a big call. What do you see it dropping to?

I have indeed been meaning to change this photo for a while.

However unless it is a comment about the article, please refrain from commenting. A comment such as the one that began this discussion should not be aired in public and is quite unprofessional.

    Cheers

  • Gold And Silver Prices Will Rise Despite Ben Bernanke's QE3 Announcement [View article]
    Hi Semperfifla,

Please accept my apologies for the very late reply. I don´t think QE3 will happen this year unless something serious and unexpected were to occur. Even though Europe has avoided economic disaster for now with Greece, now all eyes are on Spain, as their debt levels are growing all the time, pretty soon to unsustainable levels if the new govt. fails to stimulate the economy. Spain represents a much bigger problem than Greece as it has a much larger GDP than the Greeks.

Circumstances seem to be going Obama´s way, even though his opinion poll ratings are still not great. US job outlook is improving at just the right time. He will argue that he inherited so many problems from his predecessor and has done a good job shoring them up (Iraq, finding Bin Laden and now job creation). Though the unemployment figures are still not ideal, if they continue to come down, he will probably argue that to vote Republican would put this at risk. In my opinion it is strange how the press is glorifying the recent unemployment drop news as it doesn´t hide the fact that the US is still in 15 trillion dollars debt (ever rising) and still 10 million jobs down on pre-recession levels.

Given the comedy of errors that has been the Republican campaign up to now, no GOP candidate will give him a real challenge. We forget too how convincing Obama can be. And he will undoubtedly have a colossal campaign fund war chest again.

This mass exodus is real, it is occurring and it is has left the country in a perpetual state of shock after thinking that those days were behind us. It is one of the great travesties of an economic collapse and one that is not given the attention by the global press that it deserves.
