  • Windows 8 Not Good For Microsoft [View article]
Yes absolutely. You shouldn't need to take a course to use software it should assist you, like HAL and it should run in the background. This was the direction computing was going before the PC, which is connected to the success of Microsoft. They should serve us and our needs, not the other way around. But it creates employment!

Yes we are a certified Microsoft developer, partner, and reseller, and were given the Windows 8 beta and pre-release. Huge MSFT fans here, but we were very disappointed with it. For the purposes of objectivity we referenced other reviews rather than our own personal opinion. Windows 7 by the way didn't have such a flurry of negative reviews upon it's release, although when it was released we were still a little hungover from Vista.

  • While The World Watches Fiscal Cliff, Shinzo Abe Creates Fiscal Disaster In Japan [View article]
Driving down the Yen not necessarily bad. This situation is just a bit of a wildcard, which is disruptive for Japanese stocks as well as other markets connected to Japan in any way.

If you look at any USD/JPY chart this spike up is a bit extreme compared to previous reversals, because it's based on the perception of a new political policy.

Japan, Inc. was built on a platform of a weakening currency so nothing new there. But what will happen (yes they will have the few months of advantage) then the Fed will retaliate with more USD printing, thus exacerbating the race to the bottom (there is really no bottom!) The big surprise for us and many traders was how the SNB stepped in, the CHF was one of the only currencies up until that point not participating in the competitive devaluation.

  • Euro Overvalued At Current Levels And Due For A Sell Off [View article]
So far, there is no explanation that makes sense, other than Fed printing money but that shouldn't shoot EUR/USD to 1.33

Agree, we use a mutli-currency approach see http://currencybear.com investing in a single currency is very tricky, however for traders who manage portfolios it's important to have a handle on fundamentals which in the currency markets usually win out technicals.

Yes, this is what I was thinking about Medbox also - so where do we invest? My point with the article which I believe, there is long term growth potential here but we need to keep perspective in order to know which ones will be the winners and which ones will be the losers.

That's because CA doesn't regulate the growing of it, that means dispensaries can possibly sell illegal Mexican crop, whereas in CO that's not the case, which is why Obama said he'd stay out of CO.
