  • Barrick Gold Hits A Home Run [View article]
John Thornton, the Co-Chair and already de facto Chair is a GS alum: CEO of GS Intl & Co-chair GS Asia. He has degrees from Yale, Harvard & Oxford & extensive contacts in China. As for a new world reserve system, see the OMFIF report a year ago calling for a reserve basket of currencies including the $ and gold. The Economist a prestigious & influential publication in 1988 (& at least a couple of times since then) has described a new world currency.

  • Who Should Invest In Precious Metals In These Times? [View article]
Thanks Cameron, mbkelly and people. Vuke & indianamark & apberus make important points. Time horizon is a key & a re-set is coming. As for the major financial, hope they will use their set up so that a rising tide will lift all boats. A link to "Re-Consider your allocation to PMs," an earlier piece, did not appear. Best to all...

Agreed: as the last line says, "when bullion prices rise." & in the next-to-last paragraph, "restoring positive revenue growth also depends on rising bullion prices..."

  • Today's Stock Rally Is Full Of It [View article]
You can't manage a crisis unless there's a crisis to manage. As to Rich below, etc, the only question is whether there first will be a "QE correction" (4-5%) or smaller pauses, retracing 2-3% before the "recovery, low inflation" narrative re-imposes itself & the indices accelerate like fireworks before exploding.
Know this, the next significant correction will be part of a major re-shaping of this society that few of us will like.
If this sounds useful, follow. I write mainly on the relation of the economy, fiscal and geopolitical policies to cultural dynamics as expressed through precious metals. Take care.

  • Thoughts For Those Who Buy Or Bought The Precious Metals Thesis [View article]
MUX is producing & expanding at El Gallo I & II in Mexico. Los Azules is a major site. All year I've urged people to nibble in the indices & offered analyses of great equities to own long-term.
Thanks Bost, Lieut. & Ken. DC policies are the joker.
Poncho makes great points: there are lots of cheap turkeys & some of them are excellent eating. A great Thanksgiving to all: lights in the darkness.

  • Precious Metals: Value Buy, Money Pit Or Apocalypse Now? [View article]
Yes mbkelly, before the major actions beginning April 10, would regularly suggest 10-20% based on time horizon & risk tolerance. However, the extent of artificial action & the ability of strong hands to continue it means that some people cannot afford that degree of exposure despite fundamentals & steady destruction of USD &, thus, purchasing power. Those interested should see my 11-25 piece that discusses these factors & the importance of individual temperament in allocating to this despised but vital sector. Basic fact: buying is heavy & a new reserve system will arrive. Be well.

Health Care Co's will rise regardless of the final shape of the insurance mandate. Insurance co's may suffer a bit depending on how the mess is re-shaped. Aquarianus & Kyle make good pts. Also note that China keeps all its own PM output, a lot. Right, jargon: the paper contracts help create price distortion & shifts.Take care.

The Mexican tax was passed with 78 articles of amendment so it is not yet fixed in stone. If they chase out miners, production will drop further and prices... take care

Rinascimento nails it: northern Argentina is filled with mining Co's: it is one of the world's top venues. Yes, there political-fiscal situation is a mess but they will not drive out key revenue producers. Investors should look closely at the Gold Bar & Tonkin sites in Nevada, flanking & on the same mineral vein as ABX Cortez properties. Thanks for reading.

  • Weekly COMEX Gold Inventories: Registered Gold Hits A New Low At Under 20 Total Tonnes [View article]
Excellent article: key point clearly stated. The oligarchies that rule the West are and have been managing the shift to a multi-valent, "multi-cultural" world. As often has been noted, they do not affiliate themselves with their own or any nation: they are concerned with facilitated global management & wealth consolidation events. Check my archive for my own discussions of these points & thanks again to hebba for a crucial piece.

  • Chasing The S&P? Here Are The Parameters [View article]
Thanks Tactical, Alan, Wally, jargon... Lieut, it can continue until they decide a re-set is expedient for social management purposes, i.e. a year or 2. Even with the media, artifice finally fails. Take care.

"Unsustainable," "increasingly overbought," "riding for a fall" -- made the point repeatedly. The gist is a pending correction. Also see my "The S&P's Tragic Rise will Continue" & "Recession 2014?: No, It's Here Now & What to Do." Thanks Tim. All take care.

Fellows, I know that true inflation is bad: I have mentioned it often & allude a couple of times here to "challenged" economic basics. This article is about playing the "artificially massaged" S&P rise as noted. I hope you do well in this.
