    to author: it's not gold's "unwillingness to respond" but its inability to respond given current market management (POMO).
    Look at the walmart emails and memos on US economy.

    In fact it's at a secular, since-inception low at about $17: good time to enter or increase. Yes, reversion to the mean. Have read that banks are exiting their gold shorts. Bottom line: nearly every sector needs silver even in economic downturns. Re downturns: check this month's situation at Walmart....

    What about the country-risk given the governmental - currency - inflation situation in argentina? How long has auy been there and do they have good contact with the gov?

    yes, US markets have been doing superbly for 14 months, usually, and strongly for 4 years. You need to check the sources for some of your stats.
    This is a very thin macro view, i.e. superficial. Also thin in the sense of skating on thin ice.

    Chris is right; there is a lot of editorial leeway and inconsistency. He also is right about ignoring the situation at GG and ABX the 2 biggest 'pure gold' plays. He's also rt about PHYS. ALSO, GLD is NOT an equity.
    Lastly, you may be passionate but you do not write clearly. The intro paragraphs are verbose and awkward (k).
