Well said! If Europe doesn't implode, and we don't think it will, then this bump in the road just creates cheaper stocks to buy. Thank you for reading our research!

We think that's a great move. UVXY is a nice portfolio hedge. Thank you for reading our research!

  • Joy Global Q2 Quarterly Earnings Analysis [View article]
Good question on the acquisition of Montabert. Basically, Doosan was dumping a small non-core mining/rock-breaking equipment asset. (The €110M would be euros, not pounds, by the way.) There wasn't a debt transaction with the Montabert deal, and the price is reasonable (probably around 5X EBIT). Overall, we like the deal but can't argue with the technical dangers illustrated by Three Ten. That's why we have the Underperform rating. Please follow Forward View for updates on JOY, and thank you for reading the article!

  • Cheap, abundant nat gas a bigger threat to coal than Obama's regulations [View news story]
We completely agree. $CNX is a gas company with coal mines, not a coal company with gas wells.

ANR has a little gas acreage with a JV, but they're not really in the gas business. Natural gas can be used in rare instances for steel production, however that's definitely not the norm. Gas can't get hot enough for raw steel, but the small mills can use gas when melting scrap steel. And, both BTU and ANR have significant thermal coal production.

That was our only negative thought when reading this otherwise awesome article! A slightly different title would be nice. We love the overall recommendation, though.

We have a $60 target price on the stock. It's a good business with definite growth in the future. Cabela's retail stores will be the key to success.

  • Bloomberg: Walter Energy negotiating bankruptcy deal [View news story]
This is definitely no surprise. We've been forecasting Walter's demise for months now: http://seekingalpha.co... Our Director of Research began warning about the company in the summer of 2013, and he also predicted the JRCC bankruptcy. So, do you want to read our coal research now?

*Note: We're not gleeful about the WLT news. Miners are some of our favorite people! We do have the ability to predict industry events, though.
