Thanks for your hope Rudester. As the U.S. largest publicly traded "net lease REIT, wizards of Wall Street have very high expectations for ARCP. It has 3,809 single tenant properties valued at over $22B. They claim a 99.7% occupancy rate. Thus they are looking for tenants to occupy 12 of their buildings for lease. A typical ARCP building is valued at $6M or so and is located in either the southeast or midwest U.S. As the US economy blooms I'd expect ARCP to grow too.

Thanks for your comments, al roman. The charts above display demonstrations, not competitions. Please, no wagering. But notably ED and CPL are nose to nose at the back of pack based on both price upside, and net gain.

Thanks, Charlie Ponzi, the Utilities face many challenges, in many cases, like TAC and AT, their ability to grasp opportunities. However, the disparity in analyst sentiment relative to TAC and AT is puzzling.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, Straw. However, I remind you:
"Stocks listed above were suggested only as possible starting points for your index dog dividend stock purchase or sale research process. These were not recommendations."

Thanks for reading and commenting, WackyWooly. I'm with you, however I bought ARR last January when it was valued at 6.94. So even though I own one of these recommended upsiders, ARR still has a ways to go to break-even. I can of course cut my losses by buying additional shares now to catch some upward drift.

Thanks for commenting on MTGE, Norman Tweed. I trust the Wall St. wiz kids are right in their 1yr targets guesstimates. PSEC and other BDCs have yet to break away from the doubting bears. When the economy heats up, and corporations become licensed like the dogs they are, the spirit of entrepreneurial exuberance and collaboration can flourish to enrich us all!

Thank you Urbannek. Relative to LNCO/LINE the basic materials sector has been going wild and the world's political climate is adding to the exuberance. Where it stops, of course, nobody knows.

Thanks DavidBaird, for attempting to catch my drift about these financial dividend dog stocks and their future possibilities. I've attempted to keep it simple. Perhaps I've oversimplified or made it complex by not including small details. Some time soon I expect to develop a decoder ring, or failing that, an app for your digital appliance. Said algorithm will deliver the potential 1 yr. gains and losses for any dividend stock to you whenever you choose. No words, just Siri's voice and numbers. Stay tuned.

  • 10 Healthcare Dividend Dogs Tap 6% To 13% July Upsides [View article]
Thank you for asking about PDLI. Somehow Dividends.com left PDLI off the small cap screen. It's a shame, too, because PDLI would have led the dog parade by yield this month with 6.36%.

However PDLI would also have been singled out as bear bait with a downside of (22.27%) and a net loss based on a projected loss of ($179.07) based on mean target price estimates from three analysts plus dividends less $20 in broker fees. The Beta number showed this estimate subject to volatility 47% less than the market as a whole.

PDLI will be worth including as a sixth actionable conclusion next month.

Thank you Norman Tweed for your thoughts about LNCO and PSEC. I believe the ripple in the market for BDC stocks was caused by the accounting and tax issues that were exacerbated by Russell throwing BDCs off their index. The wrinkle wrought by the Russell kerfuffle I trust will be ironed out in time. BDCs vital financial services are too valuable to be shorted.
