  • REITs: 5 Lowest-Price, High-Yield Issues Boast 51.43% Edge [View article]
Thanks for asking about the analyst estimates, JohnKevinRussell. They are published by Yahoo Finance from data supplied by Thomson/First call. Three days after the ARCP revelation the mean target price from the five analysts dropped from near $15 to $12.65 it is at $11.25 as of 11/7/14. So to answer your question, no I do not talk directly to the analysts. The information is readily available daily. Yes, analysts target prices for ARCP have been dropping steadily since it hit the fan.

Thanks for your inquiry, Izinbard. Here's my latest article on Sector Leaders:

Unfortunately. the MoPay world revolves around basic materials and finance, with a service and utility occasionally making an appearance. Can't get a nine sector consensus around monthly dividend payouts.

Thanks for asking Investor496! As a rule I do not follow penny stocks and Spyglass was around $2 when I added it to this all inclusive MoPay list. It came in after a reader suggestion. Now I'm curious to see what happens to it. How low can it go and still pay a dividend?

  • 2 Financial Dividend Dogs Flash 50% October 1-Year Targets [View article]
Never have owned ARCP. I'm rather amazed at how the market analysts merely dropped their mean target price of ARCP about $3. I'm not surprised that RCS Capital backed away from buying assets from ARCP. Until Monday it looked very much like business as usual after the ARCP accounting drama.
Thanks also for your admonishment about KCAP, Urbannek. My apologies for mis-identifying the industry served by KCAP. It's never been a REIT so I'm not sure how I mislabeled it. Yahoo Finance lists KCAP Financial's industry as "diversified investments"; dividend.com still lists it as Kohlberg Capital and calls it a "closed-end fund, equity"; Harry Domash, the dividend detective, has it as a business development company. Diversified investments will suffice for me henceforth.

  • 10 Top Sector Dividend Dogs Relish 14.5% To 88.5% October Upsides [View article]
Thanks for your kind words, kyanaron. My research ran afoul when it came to NTLS dividends for the past there months. I just learned that the company paid its last quarterly stipend to shareholders on July 13. Here is the announcement copied from the NTELOS Holdings Corp. website:

"Information regarding the dividend of NTELOS Holdings Corp.

On May 22, 2014, NTELOS Holdings Corp. announced the elimination of the quarterly cash dividend on the Company's common stock. The final dividend of $0.42 per share was paid on July 11, 2014 to shareholders of record on June 13, 2014. The elimination of the dividend was made in the same press release announcing the extension of nTelos's Strategic Network Alliance (SNA) with Sprint.

To learn more, we encourage you to read the May 22 announcements here: bit.ly/1tX3Cm5 or bit.ly/1DwfBLi, or listen to a replay of the accompanying conference call here: bit.ly/Zc0LKw."

Thank you for your generous remarks, kyanaron. My research fell short in the case of NTLS which paid its last dividend to shareholders on July 13. I pulled the following directly fro the NTLS corporate website today:

Thanks for sharing your passion for accuracy, AAAAmerican! My only comment is that in 1884 when Charlie Dow began publishing his index of eleven most active stocks, times were simpler, regulation was negligible, and the NYSE listed only a few dozen companies. Charlie Schwab today just has so much more to track!

Thanks for your assertions, Doug. As I say about these aggregated screenings of groups of stocks, a.k.a. "packs":
"The power of the dog is in the pack, and the power of the pack is in the dog." It's amazing how some dogs stand out depending on the pack with which you choose to have them run.

Thanks for your comment, Eric Rasbold. Not only did JE cut dividend awhile back; it quit paying monthly. That was a double hit for investors, putting it way down on the utilities of choice maybe almost as low as AT. And, yes, Mother Jones was never Dower.

Thanks for the question, al roman. Talen will be formed as a competitive generation business combined with Riverstone Holdings LLC. My guess is to hang on any shares you gain in the new venture. They may not grow as fast as the mother ship but likely they'll be gainers.
