I am an independent investor and fervent believer in the principles of value investing and consider it the foundation upon which all successful investing is built.
I try and follow the mantra of capital preservation first and capital appreciation second. I feel strongly the best results will be attained by concentrating ones ideas and investing only in those businesses that you believe have excellent competitive positions, good management (hopefully with large holdings) and are trading at a discount to intrinsic value.
