  • Forex: EUR/USD Below The 1.3000, Time For Bears? [View article]
Yes, some experts agree that the euro is overvalued and a high euro is hurting, more, the European (Germany) economy. The divergences between American and European economies are patents and in this way, USD is becoming a pro-risk trade.

  • Green Light For The EUR/USD - Ready For 1.40? [View article]
A few days ago, HSBC's report said that the FX market is the "world´s greatest fashion victim"... content to focus and follow one theme only to the exclusion of all others.

Now it is all about central bankers, before it was about debt ceiling, Eurozone sovereign bonds, etc. But lately it seems market are going back to "normal" behaviour on technicals and fundamental...

  • What An Abe Win Means For Japan And The USDJPY [View article]
Although I do agree that stasis is the likely outcome in the long term - economically and politically, market moves are short term and will likely be supported by the fact that looser monetary policy will lead to further devaluation of the yen.

The dynamic was prevalent back in 2004-2005 under LDP rule when the central bank continued to use printing presses in weakening the yen.

  • Forex: EUR/USD Conquers 1.3100 Peak - What Next? 1.35 Or 1.25? [View article]
    Hi BahramFX,

Yes, I'm Waiting for it too, the pair reached 1.3190 on Monday and I expect the bullish trend to remain at least until Thursday.

But be aware from Friday's movements. There are a lots of options and debt maturity the December 21th and 22nd, Plus the usual Friday and pre-holidays profit taking that could lead the US dollar strengthening.

    Anyway, It should be short-live...

Thank you very much for your comment, prairiedog555
The euro bloc was a difficult project since the very beginning, it still is and will be. The heterogeneity of its members makes almost impossible any agreement other than simple matters. Bet Germany has wondered more than twice..."why?".

  • Japanese Yen: Next Week's Currency Loser [View article]
    Thanks for the post.

You are correct in the sense that fundamentals have a different play on currencies than technicals do. However, the gist of the analysis was to highlight the medium term theme, while presenting a buy on dip opportunity. Unfortunately, volatility hasn't been on the side of sellers in the last 3 days, extending the time horizon in regards to the execution of the trade.
