Gabriel Kurland is the founder of Hedge Fund Appraisal (http://www.hedgefundappraisal.com/), a Geneva-based company specialized in providing due diligence services to hedge fund investors. Before the creation on the company in 2007, Mr. Kurland worked for 5 years with Anglo Irish Bank in Geneva. He started as a hedge fund analyst in the investment policy department and contributed to the development of the Alternative investment group. His main duties were the selection, evaluation and follow-up of hedge fund managers for use in the bank’s discretionary accounts. He was also involved in the management of the bank’s internal fund of hedge funds for which he became officially the co-manager in 2005. He was responsible of the team in charge of operational controls for the bank hedge fund investments. Previously, he worked for one year as a mortgage specialist for Bank Leumi in Israel. Mr. Kurland is graduated with a Bsc. in economics and statistics from the Tel Aviv University, a Msc. in marketing from the Leicester University and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst since 2005.
