Seeking Alpha Editor Gary Smith is a British-born writer, editor, and translator. After a short flirtation with an actuarial career, followed by a fascinating stint at the Financial Times, London, Gary became the business editor at the Israeli daily, Haaretz (English edition). Gary has also worked at the Bank of Israel, and is a qualified civil engineer. He has a B.Soc. Sc. in Economics and Statistics from Bristol University and a B.Eng. from Middlesex University.
