Always looking for proven guidance.
While some other hamsters sees spinning the wheel every day a destiny, I am the odd one that begrudges such monotony. After all, life will be horribly boring without learning something new everyday.
Self directed investor. I run my own investments via an online brokerage account and have been building retirement savings for many years at a brokerage house. Focused on investing carefully with an eye to total return (including return of principal) and proper asset allocation based on input from the writings of the many knowledgable writers on SA. Pimarily investing in non-taxable retirement accounts and always looking for both value (low PE/G ratio) and how to avoid or offset undue risks. That said, I am open to GARP, Dividend Growth, International, and contrarian investment approaches. Working towards a more concentrated portfolio over time to enhance returns. Some day I may write on SA.
I am an equity analyst and founding member of a triple digit million dollar fund.
Oh, and I think technicals are nonsense.
...and no, the picture isn't me but a notable politician, and yes Mr. Samaras has been replaced!
I am fully accountable for the recommendations I make.... On my Instablog I give a recap of ALL picks and their performance
I provide economic analysis, market commentary and company-specific research. My general view is to operate a diversified basket of long-term investments in both equities and fixed income.
I have a bachelor's degree in economics from San Diego State University (2007), eight years of publishing experience and over a decade of cumulative investment experience. I have been published in several newspapers and magazines, including The Wall Street Journal and Barron's.
I am a value investor to the greatest extent possible. I also favor dividend stocks. I try to be a buy-and-hold investor, but sometimes I can't avoid the tempation to ring the register or to accumulate the inevitable tax loss. The main thing I have learned is that I have lost more money by selling too soon than for any other reason. I reside in Henderson, NV.
I am a self-taught trader who is pursuing trading stocks full time again next year since I stopped trading in 2000. I am a self-employed business owner who also invests in real estate opportunities as well. I like using fundamentals as well as technicals to search for stocks that have the potential to generate profits be it short or long, short term, intermediate term and long term. Preservation of capital is a cardinal rule I live by especially since I am going to be well capitalized this time around.
