Is There a REIT Reverse Inquiry Conspiracy?

For whatever reason the REIT offerings are going up in price.
That is all I care about. Merrill has done 8 recent deals and all 8 are higher than the offering price. Buying and then selling these offerings is a way to make money.

Anyone who wants to bet against these can easily short them. On Friday Vornado (VNO) closed more than 5 points higher than it's recent $43 offering. I checked just now and you can even borrow it
at ETrade.

I think the REIT offerings will continue to work because so many have to be done. If it is a "fix" all the better.
