Greg Pilarowski has lived and worked in China for eight years and is a fluent Mandarin speaker. He has extensive experience structuring and negotiating cross-border transactions, and navigating China’s legal environment. Greg currently represents a number of game companies with operations in China and acts as general counsel for several game development studies based in Shanghai.
Prior to founding the firm, Greg served as the general counsel for Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited (Nasdaq: SNDA), the leading online game company in China. While general counsel, Greg managed all of the legal matters for the company, including its initial public offering, convertible bond offering, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and license agreement negotiations.
Prior to joining Shanda, Greg practiced in the New York, Hong Kong and Beijing offices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, a leading international law firm. While at Sullivan & Cromwell, he represented either the underwriters or the issuer in securities offerings by Tom Online, Ping An Insurance, Chi Mei Optoelectronics, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacture Company, MTR Corporation, Cathy Financial Holding Company, the Republic of Columbia, the Republic of Argentina and the Federative Republic of Brazil.
Greg Pilarowski graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and is admitted to the New York Bar.
