H.J. Huneycutt

Jake Huneycutt is Managing Director at H.J. Huney Asset Management. He manages portfolios under a separately managed account (SMA) platform, and also provides investment research and economic consulting services.

Jake is a "contrarian value" investor, seeking out companies with strong fundamentals that the overall market soured on. On top of being a classical value investor, Jake's strategies also revolve around liquidity management and assessing macroeconomic risks, as he believes having "dry powder" available in a market downturn is one of the most important factors in maximizing long-term returns.

Jake holds an MBA degree with a concentration in finance and alternative ...More investments from Emory University. He holds a Master of Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his B.A. in History from East Tennessee State University.

Jake is originally from Johnson City, TN and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
