    Ruby Tuesday's even bigger problem might be that they don't really distinguish themselves from anyone else. Their recent television advertisements seem to be an exercise in missing-the-point --- they replace lamps because they look like they're from the '70s. Sure, RT needs change, but no one cares about the lamps. People care about the fact that their menu is undifferentiated from other dine-in restaurants; moreover, the quality of their food is nothing special. It screams out "GENERIC"!

    It is interesting that inner city locations seem to be performing much better than other locations. I'm wondering how their stores in places such as the deep Atlanta suburbs are doing. My guess is the sprawlburb restaurants are performing poorly, as well. I'm curious as to whether the deep 'burbs have been suffering more on a macroeconomic level as there seems to be a trend towards people wanting to move back towards the inner cities.
