I've been long AEM for some time. Got impressed enough to by some for my wife's account. I plan to keep adding to our "core" position as entry points are presented.
However, with the economy what it is (need to be sure and have a reasonable amount of cash) and the volatility of the stock price, I also trade AEM around that core position. After a few trades, I've usually made enough to add more to the core position and still have the COH I want to maintain.
You can also do this using options (write covered calls) on you core position. I have done and am doing this. Just be careful on the strike prices you pick so the core doesn't get called away.
