For somebody who appears to have some sense, recommending BPZ at $20 was utterly contemptible even with somebody with rose colored glasses.

BPZ, at current $6, is 50-100% over valued to the peer group and is still a sell. The only thing that could justify current price is if they have much better than expected success at Albacora. But that's betting on the come and only nitwits do that.

Exco's acreage is in such poor areas my guess is 10% is prospective.
Thye leased in Southern Wayne Couty, can you say "structurally complexity".
Counties west of Centre except for teh 3 most SW,
have gone dead.

Long quality RRC short junkos, XCO, LINN etc haas worked.

That upsate NY Norweigen stk I think is worth 0,.
There is no Marcellus drilling at sub 4k ft depth.

Have any lessons been learned here?

Before you start suggesting ways to make money by killing the earth in one of the most efficient manners possible you should do a little research and figure out if it makes sense. Unless of course you like drinking methane. The ruin of natural resources through this highly destructive method of turning over another fossil fuel is by far the worst investment anyone can make. If you lived anywhere near one of these sites you would know what I'm talking about.
Anyone who sees this as "an exciting opportunity" clearly has his head so far up his own rectum that he can't smell the gas coming through his own water spiggot. with investors like this who needs terrorists? Check your greed.
