iWatch sounds very much like we've read and seen in sci-fi stories for decades. This could be a game changer for sure!

Speakerphone on the watch for driving will be fantastic. And GPS.

  • Ignore The Noise: 3 More Reasons Apple Might Beat Estimates [View article]
Yes, getting a new phone is like getting a new car these days -- lots of time to shop and wait around. More time = more opportunity.

Something I didn't include in my article -- there's yet another "free" weekend coming up this weekend. This time last year New Years Day was on a Sunday and New Years Eve was on a Saturday, almost killing the entire weekend (not a lot of people were buying iPhones on New Years Eve). This year there's a full blown 3 day weekend ahead of New Year's Eve. Lots of times to go into your AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Best Buy, Apple Store and shop around, make a purchase, and sit there and wait for the data to transfer over between phones.

No. Read my article again. The calendar factor isn't just about "an extra two business days": but rather two of the busiest days of the entire year. I believe analysts, like you, saw it as "just an extra two business days"

I believe AAPL will beat estimates and rise on the report. However, I'm not sure if the bottom is here or lower between now and the report which isn't for another month, mostly because of the "noise" causing panic and fear. Good luck!

Good point, but I imagine that is factored into the estimates whereas the Calendar Factor probably is not (for at least many of the estimates).

lol did a similar acedotal test last night with an iphone vs. the latest samsung playing music

the samsung speakers sounded awful. Apartment-intercom qualify almost. The iphone speaker sound was crisp and clear. Car radio quality.

If you actually read the article, you'd see that the difference is the Flexible screen solves the industry-wide problem to the benefit of Samsung and at the expense of Apple. Pointing to another non-flexible phone having the same problem as Apple is irrelevant.
