AMZA got my attention because it seems to be coming into the sub-sector at the right time. I believe leverage will enhance the rewards going forward for the next year or two. Sure hope I am right.

Purchasing and selling financial instruments of any kind require that we do it at the correct points. Leverage just accentuates the ups and downs of a particular instrument. But we can just as easily get burned by an instrument that is not leveraged. At least that has been my experience.

Your concern is justified about leverage. However, as long as we have a very low interest rate environment, leverage is the way to go to get yield. When rates begin to rise quickly, then it will definitely damage leveraged bets.

    gmitchell2,
You are correct about the low sales volume and the spread in the ETF. However if one is long term for the yield, this should not represent a problem.

Sorry you were burned. All of us as investors get burned from time to time by unforeseen events that destroy value and prices.

    Alexander Alekhine,
Sorry you see my article as disingenuous. I don't see where I lied and I did not put anything out there on the sly. Anyone who is interested could see what was going on with WPZ. Increased M&A activity could be indicative of better times ahead as well.
    Cheers

AMZA must pay taxes in order to issue a 1099.
These are independent of the fund management fees.

AMZA does use leverage and option strategies. The risks of a market down draft certainly can be heightened with leverage. However, this sub-sector has already had a major down draft and I believe it may be time to get in.
