House of Debt is the account of Atif Mian and Amir Sufi.

Atif Mian is Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Princeton University and Co-Director of the Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy and Finance. He holds a bachelors degree in Mathematics and Ph.D. in Economics from MIT. Prior to joining Princeton in 2012 he taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and U.C. Berkeley. His research studies links between financial markets and the macro economy. Professor Mian's work emphasizes the role played by political, governance, and organizational constraints in shaping the effectiveness and scope of financial markets.
