  • Trulia - 40% First Day Jump Leaves Shares Still Trading At A Discount [View article]
Also, I'm not sure you got 13 times trailing revenue for Trulia if you are comparing the 2011 annual revenues.

True trailing revenue is 15 for Zillow and 12.4 for Trulia. They have already reported 2 quarters in 2012, so you might want to take that into account.

Probably the economy. Unfortunately, Sears Outlet is the smaller part of revenue for SHOS.

Not sure about why SHOSR dropped yesterday. Huge volume as well.

I did not see that (if they issue stock, they have to pay preferred).

If you just look at p/e, cashflow, price/sales, all valuation metrics, it does look interesting.

However, fundamentally, pretty much like all of Sears/Kmart, they are getting killed by competition. Thus the negative trend in same store sales, etc... We have feeling that just like ESL is dumping Orchard, they will start dumping SHOS. They had to fully subscribe to this deal, otherwise it would have looked fishy.

It should be interesting to see what happens over the next year. Whats your take on Orchard?

Comparable stores sales, we were talking about 26-week ended this year, which are negative.

Only $18.4 million (the establishment of a valuation allowance for the Company’s deferred tax assets) were "accounting loss". However, they do have a huge effect on future cash flow, if they ever make any money. Store impairment charges are real.

Based on this years cash flow it might look somewhat cheap. However, the fundamentals of this company are negative as I mentioned in my article.

I agree with you. Sears might be a steal, but not the spin off. I have written an article on how Sears is undervalued at http://www.hypezero.co.

    Hey Dhari,

Good Article. Was wondering where you got "In the first 2 quarters of this year alone, Sears Hometown and Outlet has produced $1.80 a share in Net Income.."? I did see their net income was .89c in the first 2 quarters.

My research is not faulty. The price of the IPO was at $15. The link you sent has a start price is $6.73. That is the adjusted start price taking the dividend into account. Also, I tracked it to the nav not the stock price. Right now, the stock price is over $1 the nav.

Only point was BDCs are risky and the company has not returned 10%/year over last 8 years like the dividend suggests.
