During that time, I have found that investing in what I know is more profitable than trying to understand something outside my area of expertise. I work in the field of commercial real estate finance, which has led to a greater understanding of capital intensive businesses such as real estate. I write financial articles because it forces me to be more disciplined about my own investing.
