    • OneLongTrade: IMO, just covering that gap from July, which happens nearly always in large, liquid stocks. The 50 day crossed below the 200 day this week.

    • OneLongTrade: I like the company, liked it a lot more in the low 40s. If anyone got in after the drop, this is a nice profit taking point imo.

    • J. A. Saglimbeni: This is One Long Trade my friend, so SBUX is good for many years forward..If you are TRULY long $10 doesn't really matter....

    • OneLongTrade: I beg to differ. There are few companies that offer above average returns for a very long time.My personal long trades rarely last > 6months

    • J. A. Saglimbeni: Very good debate OneLong, but my trades : AMZN, MA, AAPL, SBUX, CHD, PEP...seem to prove that theory wrong...

    • OneLongTrade: Those are the few companies. It isn't really a theory, it's a fact. The larger indices have proven it. And those companies will not run

    • OneLongTrade: forever. It's nice you post your tickers for your winners, the stocks that have outperformed the past half decade. But plenty that have not.

    • J. A. Saglimbeni: OneLong, I also post my sells, for example: Sold AMZN, NFLX, CTSH, BCPC...all for better returns than any Index....I am talking like years.

    • J. A. Saglimbeni: I have faith that these names : AAPL, UA, MA, SBUX, PEP, and CHD...will continue to trounce the market over 3-5 years...maybe AMZN may not.

    • OneLongTrade: I'm not citing your buys and sells specifically. I'm just saying, you happen to post some stocks that have had great runs. The good majority

    • OneLongTrade: of the market has not had those runs. You have outperformed. Wonderful. The rest of the market has not. For a new investor, this is daunting

    • OneLongTrade: NFLX went from sub $100 to $300 and now to $60. If someone bought and held any time above $60, they'd be under water right now.
      8/31/12
    • OneLongTrade: Not everyone can time their sells as perfectly as NFLX's CEO did so unfortunately I don't agree with buying and holding for years and years.
