How much steam does this BTUUQ rally have? If it is all based on Romney, I can't see it lasting much longer. Or am I wrong?

    • Mercy Jimenez: FWIW GS expects coal spot price rebound; 1Q benchmark of $185 this quarter before moving toward its $200 mid-cycle forecast by 4Q13

    • neobliviscar: Doesn't translate through to the rails. Then "surprise" later & NSC rebounds. I may sell out 4 mild gain. Derivative coal trade not working.

    • Energysystems: Same range it's been in since May. Also has to do with the recent rebound in NG prices, which make power plant conversion less appealing.

    • J. Sheehan: My position in BTUUQ is @ $24.40 - considering selling, so I can lower my CB on the pull back. The +12% in 5 days seems pretty artificial

    • Mercy Jimenez: Neo FYI see our discussion/article links in thread last night re: rails benefiting from shale oil transportation although NSC not mentioned
