An accomplished marathoner and experienced stock market analyst, Jaimi has a proven, long distance track record in picking outstanding investments for more than a decade. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in economics and political science at the University of Michigan, she joined the renowned Montgomery Securities in San Francisco as an investment-banking analyst. While there, she worked on a wide range of mega-deals, including The Irvine Company's $1.0 billion buyout of the Irvine Apartment Communities and the Windmere-Durable Holdings, Inc. $315 million acquisition of Black & Decker's Household Products Group.
Subsequently, Jaimi moved on to the First Analysis Corporation in Chicago as their Sellside Equity Research Analyst for institutional investors and the media, including The Wall St. Journal, Dow Jones, Bloomberg News, CNN and CNNfn. From there, she went on to the Balyasny Asset Management as a Hedge Fund Equity Research Analyst and Citadel Investment Group as a Senior Equity Research Analyst. At that point, Jaimi was ready to step up to a management role. She was hired by the prestigious John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation as its Manager of Absolute Return and Fixed Income. With assets of more than $6.4 billion and grants and program-related investments totaling approximately $260 million annually, it's one of the nation's largest private philanthropic foundations.
