First, I still see a 10 year bust for the US consumer at least. Second, the weaker US $ in the coming years will make the imports that BBBY sells more expensive for the American consumer to buy. Margins will be hurt on that front.

Time is on your side with being short. I think when the next round of the credit crisis hits, and it will, retail will get a huge slap in the face. The P/E of 10 this year I would say is fair. Good write up.

ouch with today's gain. But nothing changes my view of the longer term prospects in my opinion. The same logic can be applied to many other retailers out there.

I calculate fair value on BBBY to be between $15 and $18 a share currently at current estimates. I don't believe those estimates will be met so I would say certainly on the low end of that estimate.
