I'm only a beginner in my study of investing, mostly here to watch and learn. For the past fifteen years I've been a small business owner in Michigan, selling Japanese and Indian incense by mail order, as well as other gift items from Asia. I'm involved with the arts community intent on revitalizing Detroit, primarily in small film and photography projects. One of my ongoing goals is to partner with animal shelters to give discounts on my products to people adopting pets, which is good for my business and will help to save the lives of some of the many animals who were abandoned when the recession hit and millions of families were thrown into poverty.
I have been investing for the past 5 years through index allocations, and have recently dove into fundamental analysis and stock picking. My current strategy is finding value stocks with hidden growth.
