  • Stocks Poised For Multi-Year Rally [View article]
Ba419, My Man! Thank you! When it comes to food, water and energy, the U.S. is light years ahead of the rest of the world. Farmers alone in the U.S. have more money than God and Gucci!

And the next generation -- or I should say the current young generation -- aren't going to make a living gauging thier customers and marking everything up 100% and ripping people off w/ fine print as the yuppies did in the 80's and 90's and Wall Street is still trying to do.

And those same young people are now findng affordable housing, which helps them save and invest more which means healthier markets long-term.

    Hey Joe,
If we see regime change in the U.S. stock indices double even quicker...There is not doubt IMHO that Romney will be better for the economy sooner than the current administration...

    Hi User 303 etc,

    Thanks for contributing.

I can't speak for Harry Dent, but Figure 1 in the article show that the largest percentage of the male population is 20 to 25 year old males -- who spend like the dickens. The largest portion of the female population is thier mothers -- 50 to 55 year old -- which means free day care for that next sizable portion: 0 & 5 year olds

The world turns and history tells us it doesm't pay to bet against human progress.

I came from a family of 7 kids, who produced 13 nieces and nephews...I can tell you first hand demographics are solid on the Great Southside of Chicago.

Hi Logical, by the time something becomes logical to the majority 2/3rds of the move is over...that the 2011 lows in that commod index was taken out while spoos took out the 2011 high is a fact based occurence and significant

Hi PMiller, I like being in the minority on htis one. I'm not focusing on government spending re: entitlement programs, I'm focusing on who has cash flows and how they deploy it...

    Thanks WHN.fan,

But if we don't get as much QE as we saw in 2009 and 2010, or even none at all, then price can just as easily go back to where it was in 2010 or 2009, BECAUSE QE provided the juice which boosted gold to begin with...

It's really not the gold I'm focusing on but the QE getting reeled in. What happens to commodities if the QE spigot is turned off? And will the correlation between asset class markets (stocks and carry trade) and commodities (including precious metals) hold up once QE is seen as being in the rear view mirror by majority of Street analysts? My contention is the correlation breaks and gold and commodities sink and that money exiting commods, along w/ trillions in bonds and notes ends, up in stocks...

Good point Carbon: "I'm not arguing gold vs stocks since money printing will increase both anyways..."

I hear you about a tough job market, but as a trader or investor we need to focus on how people and companies that do have a cash stream are deploying thier profits every pay day.

I'm just mess'in with you guys Tas, and hopefully pointing out the need to not become attached to any market or investment.

The best trade/ investment I ever saw was my old friend Bill "Trading Chaos" Williams buying interest bearing gold certs denominated in Swiss Franc every time the market dipped all decade long...his son Marcus looked at me one time and just nodded his head and said "Bill's made some good money in his day, but he made A LOT of money on that play". It may actually have been thru that same co. one of the other guys mentioned above. Bill told me once "I only regret that I'm not still a young man to enjoy the money more". Bill by the way got stuck long at the 1980 top in gold, and road it out as best he could the whole way...
