Jay Sharp, CFA is the President/Co-founder of InvestingMinds (http://www.investingminds.com/), an online investor community. His goal is to help individual investors succeed in the investment game by making it easier for individuals to collaborate and come together to exchange investment information and ideas. He is a seasoned investment professional with over 25 years investment and trading experience. Jay's work experience includes portfolio management, investment research and government bond trading. Jay has managed investment portfolios for wealthy families, served on the board of directors of three companies, and managed the trading desks of two Wall Street firms.

Jay received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Illinois State University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a concentration in finance and marketing. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation of the CFA Institute and has served on the boards of ePacific, Inc. and Synaxis, Inc (acquired by First Horizon Insurance). Jay has been a member of the New York and Chicago Society of the CFA.
