  • Basel III: Bullish for Bonds [View article]
There is not and cannot be anything "bullish" for bonds - given that in our debt-saturated world it is INEVITABLE that there will be $TRILLIONS in "bond restructuring", or simply out-and-out defaults.

The only way that the U.S. can even TEMPORARILY service its $60 TRILLION in total public/private debt is through artificially keeping interest rates several percent below ANY kind of natural, "fair market" level.

As soon as interest rates return to normal, the U.S. will either formally default on its debts, OR (much more likely) DELIBERATELY cause hyperinflation - so that the real-dollar value of these debts goes to zero.

In any scenario, bond-holders are the biggest "chumps" on the planet.

  • Why Bonds Are Most Certainly Not in a Bubble [View article]
The highest prices in history, while supply is ramped-up EXPONENTIALLY, and this author doesn't see a "bubble"?

Clearly this "analyst" obviously never believed there was a "dot.com" bubble, or a U.S. housing-bubble either. It truly is pointless listening to these "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" monkeys.
