As president of Cambridge Aviation Research, Jeffrey Breen is building a series of syndicated research offerings for the aviation and related industries grounded in the firm's success as a consulting organization. A licensed private pilot, Breen holds and instrument rating and an FAA instrument ground instructor certificate. Breen's work in the aviation industry dates back to some of his first consulting assignments, building databases for the project management team at Pan Am's 747 refurbishment facility at JFK in the late 1980s. Previously, as the Chief Technology Officer of Yankee Group, Breen made new customer experiences possible by transforming the company's technology infrastructure from the inside-out. As CTO of the start-up Navient Corporation, Breen delivered candidate screening and selection solutions to Fortune 500 clients. He has held various leadership positions in the technology organization of Forrester Research, including responsibility for all client-facing and internal software development. In the mid-1990s, Breen built the Web development group at SNL Financial and implemented the first Web-based data collection system for its core data products. Breen holds a B.A. degree in physics as well as astronomy and astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. degree in astronomy from the University of Virginia. While working as an astronomer earlier in his career, he authored and contributed to papers appearing in The Astrophysical Journal, Science, and various conference proceedings.
