Minor point - 2 to the 10th is 1024, so doubling for 10 years would be a factor of 1000; and 2 to 20th is 1 billion odd.
Have you seen guntherportfolio.blogs.../ where he shows videos from InterSolar presentations last week in San Fran where they can keep up with Silicon (and its relatives) demand, which also keeps growing. They say the supply pinch is mostly inventory and logistics issues. And they can increase supply much more, as needed.
