Joe Specht

Joe Specht has over twenty years of experience in banking and finance in the Chicago area. He strongly believes that the Balance Sheet is the single most important tool in analyzing a company, and that today's corporate balance sheets are extremely over-leveraged. Joe has been warning long before it became fashionable of the dangers of the massive credit bubble that exists today.

Joe believes the most egregious participant in building today's credit bubble is the U.S. government, and his concerns have led him to write the book An Island Called Liberty, which he describes as a cross between Dr. Seuss and Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

More of his writings, including An Island Called Liberty, can be found at his web site Free Market Underdog.
