  • Exclusive Interview With Tonix Pharmaceuticals CEO And CFO [View instapost]
Thank you Joe, yes I thought that was very interesting too. I don't think you would have to go out that far, they could likely launch into phase 2 for efficacy as the safety is already established..

  • 3 Reasons TravelCenters Of America Could Triple [View article]
    Updated View: Fairly Valued

We first got behind TravelCenters when it was a little under $5, it has roughly hit our tripling target, so is there more diesel fuel left in the tank?

TravelCenters still has access to all of those irreplaceable and extremely valuable interstate highway locations, an oligopoly with literal highway robbery non-fuel margins, and TA continues to make bank.

It is still growing rapidly as well, and as of the November conference call the pipeline of potential new acquisitions remains strong. These new additions also slowly make the company more independent of its leases with the HPT owned properties, which are gradually becoming a smaller percentage of the overall business.

Additionally we are bullish on the company's ability to wring profits from oil volatility, as gas purveyors raise prices fast -- but drop them slow.

The non-fuel sales continue to grow from management's customer service initiatives, which we really see as a credit to management, and the margins are still north of 50%.

All of that continues to be great, but when we wrote the article we noted "it trades for less than half of its book value," and now it actually trades at a bit of a premium to book. It also had a PE under 5, and now it is over 11.

TravelCenters has so much going for it, yet we see no chance of the business returning cash to shareholders in the near future. That would certainly seem to demand a bit of a discount to other such profitable companies that can pay dividends with all that income.

So we think TravelCenters looks fairly priced here. If one day TA did start paying a dividend, we think another triple from here would be in the cards.

I had not seen the presentation when I said that, but it still stands, a good summary:

Yes it is still possible sal_wer, I'm not holding out hope for that, but the FDA will say the next step likely in the next 60 days or so.

It is also in the realm of possibility that they say FM patients will want this and we are well enough convinced it is safe or safer than the other meds, and that they can continue with trials but also go to market.

I don't want to say it's likely, but it is possible...New presentation:

  • The Cloud's Silver Lining: Beyond Tonix's Missed Phase 2 Primary Endpoint For Fibromyalgia [View article]
They never did say BESTFIT's cost but AtEase is slightly larger and they inferred more than once that the circa $7.3 mil they just raised was about the cost of AtEase, so 3 or 4 times that cost for an 800 person trial, which should be plenty enough people.

In the filings you mean? The Annual Report has:

"This study enrolled 24 healthy volunteers and evaluated a single dose of one 2.4 mg tablet or two tablets (4.8 mg) of TNX-102 SL or the currently-marketed 5 mg CBP tablet. In comparison to oral administration of the 5 mg CBP tablet, both sublingual doses of TNX-102 SL demonstrated faster systemic absorption. After administration of TNX-102 SL, blood levels of CBP were significantly higher at 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes relative to administration of the 5 mg CBP tablet."

  • Tonix Is A Buy On Endpoint Circumstances [View article]
I don't disagree nobody_squared, I don't think they will have to use that tactic as I think a larger trial with 30% responder analysis as the endpoint will leave little doubt, but sleep quality could always be a backup plan, I just don't think they will have to go that path.
