ABOUT
I have been a stockbroker, investment banker and even a fund manager for the last 25 odd years in New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and now currently in Australia.
Having seen some tremendous bull runs (Asia in the 80's and 90's, the internet bubble...) and some spectacular crack-ups (too many to list here), I have developed a keen personal interest in looking for indicators. datapoints and the stories that drive the markets and the fund flows between the different asset classes.

COMPANY
Independent Research Partners LLC Times have changed and we feel that one's investment tools should be updated as well.
We have designed an asset allocation system which ranks a self selected universe of assets and ranks them in terms of likely momentum over the next three to six months. The ranking takes place on a weekly basis and by ...More
investing in the top ranked asset classes while avoiding those lower down on the ranking, we have achieved very satisfactory results.
The benefit of the system is that it allows one to take on risk without the accompanying emotional baggage. Since the Asset Class universe is selected by the user in advance, there is little risk that the system will recommend inappropriate investments. And, the decision of what and when to buy and sell are automated.
The system is geared towards long term investors who are looking to manage their portfolios to meet specific long term commitments. Actual performance depends on the investment universe selected but we provide 5 year backtests to show how the system would have handled the universe so that one can get a feeling for expected return, maximum drawdown and likely volatility.

Fund King System
Each week we look at the results of the Fund King System and show you how they would apply to specific investment situations. Since we are committed to building this website without resorting to expensive market data services, we also review websites which are low cost or free to show you how to gather the ...More
information you need to make intelligent investment decisions.
Our View is that the broad market indices will take some time to return to the broad bullish conditions that persisted in the 80's and 90's. In the volatile and rotational type of markets that we are experiencing, a "Buy and Hold" strategy is unlikely to produce adequate returns to finance big ticket items like retirement or college expenses. Therefore, we have developed the Fund King System to harness the power of the data available via the internet to help you navigate these turbulent market conditions. By consistently rebalancing your portfolio towards those asset classes most likely to perform in the medium term (even if the most promising asset is cash), we think you can achieve solid, compoundable returns with a minimum of effort or stress.
