I understand and agree with much of your analysis on the relationship of oil to dollar, etc. I do not agree we will see oil under $80, unless the world economy is officially declared in a recession....again. Watch China. Thanks for reading.

You have a point, but I am not convinced the socialists will be able to single out a sector of taxpayers. Thanks for reading.

Yes we get quite a bit from Canada. I have seen the %, but can't remember right now. It is increasing as Mexico and Venezuela's production decreases due to depletion. Thanks for reading.

    Ben Gee-

I don't know. There are lots of moving parts. Uncertainty over negotiations to raise the debt ceiling may cause interest rates to move higher. If stocks drop (which I think is likely) interest rates will go down. This is caused by investors fleeing equities and seeking safety in treasuries. Thanks for reading. Next week should be interesting. Just don't be deluded into thinking the Fed is toothless. They still have "ammo."

I fear you are right. I am looking at CSCO as a trade with value underpinnings. Thanks for reading and the comments.

Couldn't the same thing be said about MSFT? If we look at CSCO as a maturing company, with a P/E to match, doesn't that justify a price at 9 or 10 times earnings? I am open to your comments. Perhaps technology changes and CSCO not developing new pipelines spells death in the future. Thanks for reading and the comments.

Sounds like a broken culture. Every CEO likes to hire his toys, and brag about their credentials. The real stars are the ones that see what others don't. What is the old saying? When everyone agrees on something, nobody is thinking. Thanks for reading and the comment.
