Jonathan Liss

Jonathan Liss is Seeking Alpha's Managing Editor for ETF & Portfolio Strategy content. He first joined Seeking Alpha's staff in May 2006, making him one of the company's longest serving employees.

He is interested in all things ETF, especially portfolio construction and asset allocation using exchange-traded products. His own portfolio construction strategy borrows heavily from Modern Portfolio Theory, though he's far from an Efficient Markets absolutist.

Jonathan graduated from Columbia University (class of '03), where he focused on U.S. history and writing. Out of college, he did a stint at a small Long Island-based advertising firm. Before joining Seeking Alpha, he worked at the Jerusalem Report ...More magazine contributing to its business and arts sections. Jonathan currently resides in Jerusalem with his wife Simone, sons Erez and Uriel and daughter Zohara. In his free time, he's an avid tennis and poker player as well as a die-hard fan of the NY Giants and the band Phish.
