My real name is Frederick Bruckman. ("Paimon" is depicted in the Ars Goetia as a "King of Hell" and expert in the mysteries of the mind--but is also a truly awful pun.) I've completed a B.A. in Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, "class of 2013" (enrolled 1989-2012!). I try to buy stocks that are making new highs.
I'm coming to the end of a 28yr military career and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I'm still in the knowledge gathering phase of my investment career and find this site extremely beneficial. My investing style is probably a hybrid of value and DGI, with a little bit of bonds, fixed income, and indexing thrown in for good measure.
My first bad experience was in Oct 1987, whenI lost my shirt but kept my pants. Every day I learn. Like to give a shout out to Apple for an unpleasant relearning of the importance of margins.
Some trading is based on dividend ex-dates and valuations. Also do a fair amount of trading in energy stocks. Always have a sense of the macro investment environment and look for stocks in the sectors with an advantage.
I like open minded investors, who will buy a stock based on the valuation.
Follow SEC form 4 fillings and keep watch lists based on insider buying - like to see a cluster of insider buying or a lot of insider purchases over a long term. Like lots of cash and no debt on balance sheet.
Will buy almost anything if it is cheap enough and there seems to be a catalyst.
Look at the financial statements very carefully.
Providing long and short ideas blending macro, seasonality, technical and financial analysis. Sitting for the CFA Level 1 exam in June 2017.
Self-starter, independent, creative, eager to learn.
Looking for an internship opportunity in the investment industry in the Boston Metro Area.

about this is ~ Age doesn't matter but your Interests DO!
Options, I don't understand. Long Term investing in Aristocrats makes sense to me.

I don't know that I will contribute as an author but I will keep reading and learning and
emailing ... with the hope that I will eventually become authoritative enough to consider
that ~ one day.
Relatively new to "active" personal investing. Focus is on accumulating large cap, quality stocks with a combination of both high yield and growth prospects.
