I’m currently enrolled in a PhD program through the Nuclear and Radiological Engineering department at the University of Florida. I began trading equities June 2007 but realized on a college student’s budget, small amounts of capital leads to very small positioning and lack of diversification. I began looking at other alternatives to the equities market when I discovered the options market and technical analysis. Using texts such as Murphy’s Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets, to McMillan and Thomsett’s various books on options and other web resources, I’ve managed to survive the whipsaw of the past year’s action. My goals include completing my PhD work and using my formal education as financial support, slowly transition to full time trading status. I’m currently married to my wife, Crystal, as of February 2008 and have a beautiful daughter Luna, our precious Shetland Sheepdog.
