    Oooops! Heavy sigh. AGNC hit stop before going up b-4 I woke up this AM. BYE! Picked up VOD on the rebound. I am fickle.

    • DAG1996: since a flash crash would sell out my entire portfolio if i used stops, i only use low-set stops on high-risk speculatives. just a thought.

    • Joseph P. Porter: The stop was set just to protect part of the profits I'd made on AGNC. The recent series of drops was just enough to pull the trigger.

    • Joseph P. Porter: I didn't really expect AGNC to drop so far, and the sudden rise caught me off guard. Is today a dead-cat bounce? Only Monday knows 4 sure.

    • DAG1996: understandable. just different approaches. except with high-risk, stops have lost me more than they've saved so i prefer to sell manually.

    • Joseph P. Porter: I've come to accept that mREITs are risky, and would prefer to leave with a little profit than take a loss. Don't like losses.

    • x oil -field: @DAG V interesting post, I've found the same outcome with stops, they can eat U alive if set to tight,TY 4 validating my thoughts on topic.

    • DAG1996: @oil -field you're welcome. except speculatives, if i think i need a stop, i shouldn't own the stock at all. but, i'm able to watch closely.

    • DAG1996: in other words, i only want stops on stocks that have a high chance of losing a lot of value in one day AND never recovering the lost value.
