    • Charles Cooper: bloomberg article. http://bloom.bg/Jc1iDL. i wonder if they shopped with $AMD for design but they didn't make the cut? if so not good

    • Justin Jaynes: I don't think it would be because AMD didn't make the cut more than $GOOG just trying to save it's bottom line.

    • Justin Jaynes: what I find odd is that $GOOG would use $ARMH chips instead of $IBM - that seems to poo poo the IBM/GOOG/$NVDA alliance doesn't it?

    • Charles Cooper: i didn't actually see any evidence of them planning to buy $ARMH chips. only that they are going to hire ASIC designers.

    • Justin Jaynes: Google Inc. (GOOG) is considering designing its own server processors using technology from ARM Holdings Plc (ARM)

    • Charles Cooper: they don't actually cite any primary source.

    • DPNelson: I doubt Google would go it alone all at once. $AMD would be a good partner for a joint venture. Already working on ARM + Server experience

    • toonies: @DPN: what about semicustom by AMD? Same business model like used for SNE and MSFT ( and some others)?
