  • 4 Dividend Stocks With Very Low Price To Free Cash Flow And In An Uptrend [View article]
You might want to look at PDLI's March Presentation (esp pg 32)
This company may not be around in a few years - present income dries up "...Last of Queen et al patents expire in December 2014..."
and may return investor money (whatever is left).

No one seems to mention this... and by the way - they have no research at all (see pg 37 "No R&D") they are looking into purchasing/investing in others' drug pipelines and hope to buy an income stream. It may work - it may not.

Ahh, never said I did poorly - just felt I'd wasted an opportunity to invest at a much lower level. If I knew then what I know now I'd have watched and waited. I also wasn't going to put more money to work - I'd already spent the money that I'd put aside for dividend stocks for the year. Would have purchased different stocks also. What I bought was ABT AFL BLK COP HNZ JNJ KO MCD PEP PG and have since purchased ACN BIP JPM. I'm up 4% with reinvested dividends. And as I have stated in other comments, I'll let you know in 10 years how it's going.

Nothing in this article of mine is my own work. Never did I try to hide that. This is a grouping of things I've found on SA and put into a format that works for me. My original article stated this in the first paragraph and over the following 50 rewrites, was edited out. My not searching and finding Adams link is inexcusable on my part. I attributed everyone but Adam - my dumb lapse. The point of this was have a format and a list to go down with links to the information, and at the end know if you like a stock, or not. This was something I wanted to share. It works for me I thought it might work for others.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure I really want to spend the time doing that - this writing thing can be very time consuming. I just wanted to pass along a simple method that anyone can do. Next time someone tells you to buy something you now have a way of knowing what is wrong or right with it.

You are welcome - I too find this format very usable and simply thought others might too. You've made my day!

No - you are dealing with an Excel illiterate person. I was glad to get the link on the spreadsheet. If you can do that, by all means, amend and go to town. I use Open Office and all links are to the page where the info resides. I enter the info the old fashioned way.

Thanks for your comment. I've amended the worksheet include his article. The form and links to all the info on one list is absolutely mine and I've found it exceedingly helpful in seeing a company clearly. Peter Mycroft Psaras is really the main focus with the owner earnings equations. That struck such a cord with me but you have to dig through his articles to find all of this - so I put it into one place. The list of questions is also important - which is why I am amending the worksheet.

No, not too sure about any follow ups articles to be honest. I will let you know in about 10 years how it's going. I want solid companies where things are improving and once I own them I monitor (which is where this worksheet comes into being) and rarely sell. I have used the PEG ratio or BETA - as I said I have much to learn.

Have been in MLPs since 2005 and just sold ETP to buy BIP. Great articles by Ron Hiram on MLPs and he's branching out into the direction you are speaking of. He is incredible in his research.

Not sure why I wanted to get the worksheet out, but every morning I do 2 or 3 new companies and know exactly what I want to do after filling it out. Thought it might be helpful to someone else. Also the author of the equations - Peter Mycroft Psaras, doesn't write too often any more. He is a full time money manager I think. I wanted to pass along just what he's had to offer.

Adam, YOU I do have to thank! Yes, I knew I copied this and had no idea where I got this from. I will amend my worksheet to link to your article as I did everyone else I gathered things from. Sorry for not having saved your name. I gather all kinds of things and usually have the source. My apologies - this worksheet is bits and pieces of what I've gathered over the past year and put into one usable place. All the equations came from
Peter Mycroft Psaras and I have all kinds of links to his articles. Also, David van Knapp is listed for his Reasons to Sell article and linked and now I will link yours.

By the way, Richjoy, you should really be writing articles on SA. Thanks again for your help. You get a whole new appreciation for authors when you do it...
