Companies in the news today....

(JWN) - Nordstrom - recommended Buy by Deutsche - 3rd firm in as many days, I don't know, I just don't see a lot of upside here, I'm a seller on strength

(AMTD) - TD Ameritrade - downgrade at Citi - this is part of that short term interest rate problem, same thing with a lot of regional banks

(MNST) - Monster Beverages - Goldman raising their numbers - this is the strongest and best chart in the chart book, I would not get in front of this if I'm a short seller

(CRM) - Salesforce.com - buying Buddy Media - I think this is directed at Exact Target (ET) and also al Millenial Media (MM) , be very careful, Marc Benioff trying to make a stand on CRM across the board

(MON) - Monsanto - B of A raising price target to 96 - look, this makes sense, this was a major pre-announcement to the upside, name me one other

(UA) - Under Armour - they're the best positioned, cotton prices have just cascaded here, they buy a lot of cotton, they've got a lot of technology, I like this company

CHK - Chesapeake - OpCo says this thing is worth five times what it's selling for, it's too opaque for me, i just don't know

STX - Seagate - the kiss of death for doing disk drives is once the inventory tips you gotta sell sell sell and that's what people are doing

QCOM - Qualcomm - when Apple goes up people want Qualcomm, that's what happened

GPS - The Gap - inexpensive stock after the retailers receipt, its one of the better quarters

WDC - Western Digital - additional buyback - yeah, you know what, it doesn't matter, again inventory, you will not be able to stem the flow of investors fleeing

EOG - EOG Resources - this is the great growth story of our time for oil because they have [equal privilege] as good as Saudi Arabia

MM - Millenial Media - this is a secret Facebook story, they do how to advertise on cell phones, that's what Facebook has to do in order to be able to justify these new prices

ROST - Ross Stores - domestic again, anything good out of Europe, short squeeze, Ross Stores is a good place to reach

GPS - Gap - Next week David's got a special on Mickey Drexler, Gap is making a turn, it's been going on a while, this is post-Drexler of course

CP - Canadian Pacific Railway - Ok so Bill Ackman wins, what do we do, I don't like the rails but obviously the overhang is gone and people want to own this stock

United Rentals - oh man, this stock has been just on fire, the negative chatter, that's bad for Caterpillar because they are a huge Caterpillar renter

CRM - Salesforce.com - battleground, battleground, this is maybe the most richly valued tech but it's also the best executed, Marc Benioff on Mad Money tonight
